Green Corner Content:

Green Corner is an active group of some enthusiastic young friends based out of Kolkata. Green Corner has planted 30 trees in the Science City area of the Indian city of Kolkata. This awesome activity has been possible, by active cooperation of a fledgling young Club named "Tangra Nuton Dol". They were all passionate individuals aged between 18 - 25 years, who gave Green Corner the much needed land-space required for tree plantation. Green Corner also got financial support from kind Professionals in the Corporate world, working in some of the largest national and multi-national companies such as PricewaterhouseCoopers, Delloite, Atlas Development Corporation, Chembiotek (under TCG Lifesciences Ltd.), TATA Indicom et. al.

The tree plantation activity took place on 26th August, 2010. All members of the Club actively participated in planting the trees, and doing active publicity of the noble endeavour, in the nearby area. As on date, all the 30 trees have survived, and are growing to create greenery in the GREEN HUNGRY city of Kolkata. Green Corner aspires to plant more and more trees, with a wonderful cordination and support by ALL members of Tangra Nuton Dol.

Green Corner believes in taking small steps, and consistently initiate many more small steps, to make a Big impact one day, with a visible change in  the GREEN SCENE of Kolkata.
